Managing Partner 

Matt is originally from the UK and has been working and living in Japan since the early 00’s. Matt is a career recruiter who has seen his journey take him from London to Tokyo, with time also spent in Hong Kong and Dubai. Matt was previously a Director at a large global recruitment agency in Tokyo , where he balanced leading a successful IT Recruitment desk, whilst being a “top biller” and a valued partner for brands like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley's tech divisions. Matt has held Head of Japan, APAC Talent Acquisition Lead and Global Head of TA roles. Matt is an expert in building bespoke search as well as “recruiter-on-demand” solutions. He has been a trusted advisor to a number of tech and consulting start-ups both in Japan and APAC. His deep skill-set spans agency, search, TA and specialist recruitment outsourcing (RPO). Matt has taken this rich blend of experiences, having been both a recruiting vendor and on the client side, and uses this as the foundation when building fit-for-purpose talent solutions for an extensive range of use-cases. Matt lives in central Tokyo and has three children to keep him busy outside of work. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing & human resource management and a Diploma in Design Thinking & Business Design. Outside of work, he enjoys Japanese culture, including helping his kids on their journey to being bilingual international citizens and sometimes finds the time to play masters level soccer.
